Mumbai Confidential is a comic-book series that depicts the work of an elite police force against the Mumbai underworld, which has a long reach. The first volume, Good Cop, Bad Cop, follows the story of Arjun Kadam, an ex-cop who has been addicted to drugs due to depression. He is involved in a hit-and-run accident that throws him into coma. Once out of coma after a month, Arjun in search for the culprit, delves into his murky past as a member of the encounter force.

He realises that the line between the police and criminals is blurred and that cops are either bribed or turn a blind eye to gangster activities.
